Thank you for reponding. I am a 53 year old woman. I have had a nerve conduction study with nothing showing up and also a lumbar x-ray which which showed nothing remarkable except for mild narrowing at L4-5. But my chiro says that I have VERY WEAK gluteus maximus muscles, (probably due to an injury many years ago that wasn't treated properly) more so on the side where I have my floppy foot and it is her belief that it tires after 30 minutes of walking and therefore the muscles don't hold up the foot. This floppy foot has been around for about 4 years!
Hi, there can be multiple reasons for floppy foot, compression of spinal cord due to bony outgrowths, spinal stenosis, tumor metastasis, syringomyelia etc.
What are your other symptoms and how old are you? Multiple sclerosis is also a possibility but it will show up other symptoms too. For more information visit website http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiple_sclerosis
