Skull lipomas are known to occur in babies. Premature babies have a greater chance of developing skull lipomas since their skull bones are immature and brain is not completely developed. Please remember skull lipomas are benign tumors and do not spread to other parts of the body.
However nothing can be said for sure without clinical exam and tests. Please follow up with your baby’s neurologist and let us know if you need any other information. Take care!
