no i have not done muscle biopsy.
as u have said tht it can skip generations and ur younger brother and ur sons have it and been diagnosed. So how is their hands now did they recover a full 100% or just a slight improvement and did they have a same condition as mine.and if they have recovered from it then wht is the treatment tht they had undergone?

Have they done a muscle biopsy to rule out things such as muscular dystrophy?

As far as genetics is concerned, many " diseases " are passed on to us by our mothers, and men seem to be affected more than women.
Women carry the deformed genes, and the men suffer from the symptoms. So it's quite possible that it could be genetic.
Things can also skip generations.

Muscular Dystrophy runs in my family. It comes from my mother's side. However...there had not been a single case of it in at least 5 generations ( as they had no records of it )...until my younger brother, and then 2 of my sons were diagnosed with it.
Ask you doctor to send you to a geneticist. They may be able to help you better. They have access to more equipment than you doctor has.
They also love a challenge, and seem to be bound and determined to figure out strange cases.
