:   I experienced a partial loss of vision that lasted about 45 min.  I also had an experience of having a sore head in the tempal area.  This lasted several days and asprin seem to do no good. My physician diagnoised visual migrane (migraine) and found no adnormalities.
He sent me to an optomoligist who have me a visual field exam and came up with the same results, ie. Migraine, ophthalmoplegic.
I searched the web and found the term aura which is experienced before a migrane (migraine) attack.  I had several of these symptoms from time to time but have not had any problems with headach.  It is rare that I have a headach at all.
Recently I have occasionally had mild head distress but I also have many algeries and associated sinus problems.
Any one else having these experiences?

Sounds like more work needs to be done on this case. The first
question deals with your age. If you are >60 then this may represent
an episode of temporal arteritis and you need an immediate workup
including a sed rate and a c-reactive protein. Discuss this with
your doctor. If you are 30 then maybe this represents an episode
of optic neuritis? Strokes can also cause a partial visual loss.
I would recommend an evaluation by an ophtholmologist and a
neurologist. While visual migrane (migraine) can cause these types of
problems, it is really a diagnosis of exclusion. I would look
alittle further. Good Luck
