low oxygen

by Cindyl__0, Jun 03, 1998 12:00AM

I am using 3 liters of oxygen round the clock and my saturation level is
90 to 95% -- can this be caused by Sleep Apnea??  I have also recently
  been diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.

Dear Cindyl:
It is very difficult to give you a specific answer about the cause of
this. Sleep apnea tends to cause symptoms when you are asleep. If your
saturation is that low during awake periods then I would suspect a problem
with your lungs rather than with sleep apnea.
If you have other questiosn please write back!
