lower back pain/leg

i started having pain in my lower back then it went to my leg and then pain started shooting from my back, butt and leg just on the left side..i've went to ortho had mri,spinal tap, nerve test. mri and spinal tap didn't show anything but everything points to herniated disk...i've been in pain for the last 5 mths...my leg throbs at night and really hurts upon my initial waking up...what do anybody think that might help me.....i'm in huntsville,alabama, do anybody know a doctor here

I have used Dr. Thomas Wilson at St. Vincent's in Birmingham. He is a neurosurgeon and a no nonsense type off doctor. He removed the screws and rods from by back placed there by another neuro. I just saw him again because of another problem. He requires you bring MRI films with you. i can't find his phone number right now, but will look for it if you are interested. Course you can always look it up on-line. Hope you find relief, it's rough, I've had this problem since 1995 and it just keeps getting worse. perhaps yours can be fixed.

I DON'T THINK SO,,NOT FOR 5 MONTHS AT THAT...WISH IT WAS....I'VE PLAYED SPORTS ALL MY LIFE AND PULLED PLENTY MUSCLES MY FRIEND.  I JUST WISH THAT WHEN THESE DR'S CAN'T MAKE MONEY OFF YOU THAT THEY CARED ENOUGH TO TELL YOU WHAT MIGHT BE WRONG..NOW THIS DR. I WENT TO AND ORTHOPED..COULDN'T DO SURG. SO HE SENDS ME TO ANOTHER DOCTOR..NON-SURG. I PROBABLY NEED TO SEE AN NEROSURG...IF IT'S NOT BONE...COME ON NOW WHY SEND ME TO ANOTHER ORTHOP AND NOT NERVE DR....I'M JUST SINCERELY TIRED...IT'S A MONEY GAME AND I SEE THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE PAIN YOU'RE IN...YOU HAVE TO FIND THE RIGHT DOCTOR WITH A CODE OF ETHICS WHO CARES
