Hi.

How long have you been taking Lyrica? Has there been any improvement in the pain?

The pregabalin was prescribed to relieve pain from damaged or injured nerves. It does not treat the actual cause of the neuropathy. You should be evaluated for the cause of your neuropathic pain and also be treated for it to make the pain go away permanently.

If you haven't consulted a neurologist, now is the time to do it.

Good luck.

I take Lyrica.  I had low back pain, to where I can't garden or much of anything, and it went away.  Made me feel good, too.  I noticed my feet didn't hurt as much as they used to, also.  It lasts about 12 hours, but the pain pretty much stays in check 24.  Helps me sleep a little better.  Not sure if you meant you did not want to know side effects, but assuming you do, I walk a little wobbly sometimes, but I got used to it.

Hi.

What are you taking Lyrica for? How long have you been taking it?

The effectiveness of pregabalin would depend on the condition treated as well as what dose and how long the treatment has been given. However, for some chronic conditions, effectiveness of this drug may decrease after some time which would necessitate alternative medications for their current conditions.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
LYRICA (pregabalin)  is indicated for the management of:
    * Fibromyalgia
    * Neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy
    * Postherpetic neuralgia
The mechanism of action of pregabalin is unknown,
pregabalin reduces the calcium-dependent release of several neurotransmitters, possibly by modulation of calcium channel function is probably one of the ways it can help in reducing the neurogenic pain.
