twenty year old male takes 20mg prozac a day what affect does this have on his heart and other organs.
If he goes on clozapine should he go off the prozac first?
What would the time period be between these two meds?

Clozapine can lead to  edema, palpitations, phlebitis/thrombophlebitis, cyanosis, premature ventricular contraction, bradycardia, and nosebleed.

Elevation of blood levels of haloperidol and clozapine has been observed in patients receiving concomitant fluoxetine hence  a reduced clozapine dose should be considered.
