I had colon surgery over 2 years ago. When I woke up from this surgery my left leg was numb and now I am in constant pain. I am on medication for the pain which does not help to much. My doctor suggests that I should have surgery to clip this nerve in my leg. The doctor says that this will not get better all by it's self. Is this a common practice to clip the nerve when all else has failed ? Also they say that if it is not clipped in the right place that I could actually end up worse. I have had the nerve block with out any success. What can be done about my problem ?
