I had surgery in October for acousticAcoustic neuroma Acoustic trauma Neuroma, and am recovering. I am having a CONSTANT headache, pain across the shoulders shoulders intensive treatment Shoulder arthroscopy Shoulder pain, dizziness, and VERY fatigued. Sometimes I dont really want to do anything some days!! (Doctor says depression is a normalNormal saline flush side effect!) I have a metallic taste in the back of my mouth and when I Qtip my earsEar barotrauma Ear discharge Ear emergencies Ear examination Ear tube insertion Ear tube insertion - series I often get wetness (slight). I am wondering if anyone has had the same problems?? I have had a very recent MRI which was "clean", but they now want to do a CT with contrast, possibly suspecting fluid leakage. From what I have read on here the symptoms seem to follow, but no one really has told us what the treatment entails. We are in Montana, and the surgery was over 100 miles away. The travelTravel sickness has been a very inconvenient part of this all. No specialists close to us! ANY help or comments would be greatly appreciated. B&t
The taste sensation may be that the acousticAcoustic neuroma Acoustic trauma nerve travels along the facial nerve. Perhaps they aggravated the facial nerve (which can affect part of the tongue/taste). Dizziness is definitely a side effect, but should subside with time. I would keep my doctor aware of all symptoms.
