My daughter is 11 months old.Her head circumference history is-
at birth 35.5cm.
6month 41.6 cm
She has been diagnosed with gross motor delay(current level 8 months). Her BAER test and FT4 and TSH test reports are normal. Her picer grash has already appeared. According to my pediatrician her fine motor skills are not delayed.
My daughter has been examined by 2 pediatric neurologist, while the former has diagnosed her with microencephaly & mild celebral palsy but the 2nd neurologist differs on this. According to him she just has a gross motor skills delay and will catch up with her peers given some time.
As a mom I am perplexed with 2 different diagnosis. Can anyone help me with some information on this.
Hi, please be optimistic as with age she will catch up. Even if it is mild cerebral palsy, it won’t affect her mental capabilities. Give her full care and affection; everything will be fine as the findings probably are of not much clinical significance
