migraines and hypothyroid

i am currently having migraines that i think are due to my levothyroxine.. why if my levels are normal would i have migraines? and what kind of medication is out there that i can take for it

I am in the same boat as you, but never considered it could be from the levothyroxine.  My TSH level was around 3.8 and I was having bad migraines (complete with throwing up).  I got my family doctor to up me levothyroxine from 88mcg to 100mcg and my headaches were alot less severe.  This lowered my TSH levels to 0.2 which she said was too low and put me back on the 88mcg.  What is bad is that I felt so much better on the 100.  I was able to lose weight with exercise, I had more energy and less headaches.  I just can't find a doctor that will listen instead of just see the numbers.

I have found some relief from the headaches with Excedrin Migraine.  My doctor had prescribed me Midrin, but that didn't touch them.  Some Excedrin and a caffeinated soda usually helps if the headache isn't already at it's peak.  Once the pain is really bad I end up in tears and nothing seems to help.
