I have been suffering excruciating migraines for several years. Migraines sometimes last several days at a time. At one time my hormone dose was too high and it caused abnormalities with a pituitary microadenoma. This became smaller and apparently disappeared when my hormones were regulated.
After a CT with iodine injection last year, I began having episodes with migraine of some type of what appears to be seizure activity. I begin screaming in my sleep, jerking, etc. Last week I had an episode where I was aware of what was happening, totally paralyzed and unable to speak. My jaw was locked shut and even though I couldn't say any words I was able to make sounds. The attacks always have happened at night. My husband tries to wake me up and sometimes is successful.
After one of these episodes, the next day I am extremely wiped out, exhausted and have excruciating migraines that last a couple of days.
Could hormone imbalance or the return of a pituitary problem cause these symptoms or would it be migraine or seizure related or a combination of all three?
