Thank you for replying so quick!! I just thought that if I could get migraine relif as well as neck relief I would not have as many migraine episodes therefore I wouldn't need any meds as often. I do know about rebound headaches as I get that with overuse of motrin when they first started. I have just gotten insurance so I can go to my GP and get a referral for a nuerologist and finally get diagnosed and we will see what they say. I just don't want to ask for a certain med as to be labeled a drug seeker as all I need and crave is relief. I appreciate your response and so quickly too!!

Hi,
According to the FDA, the brand name Stadol Nasal Spray has been discontinued. However, the generic, butorphanol tartrate nasal spray, is still being produced and distributed by three manufacturers -- Novex, Mylan, and Roxane . Butorphanol is an opioid analgesic (pain killer). It is administered through injection or nasal spray. For Migraine, it is sometimes prescribed as a rescue medication for times when abortives don't work or in place of abortives for Migraineurs who cannot take them.. Care should be taken not to use butorphanol very often as it often causes medication overuse headache, or rebound . You cannot depend on it as a long term remedy . Please consult a neurologist for the pain management . Hope this helps you . Take care and regards !
