I have migraines and MS. Do other MS patients have this problem and is it common. Should I worry about the migraines causing more brain leiasions, which is scarry since I already have 13.

This discussion is related to Brain Lesions - Migraines/Numbness in face, hands, feet.

Hi,

Thanks for writing in.
Some studies have found a greater incidence of migraines in patients with MS. However there is no clear cut association.
The lesions due to migraine are vascular lesions while MS lesions in the brain are due to demyelination. Lesions due to migraine will have no bearing on the prognosis of MS.
Hope this answers your question!
