First-testosterone mc, we think of surgery as the last resort to treat pain coming from a mild lesion in the spinal column. Our recommendation is to try rehab with
PTPost-traumatic stress disorder to stabilize the problem and relieve the pain. Thus, I would tell you to see a neurologist along with the neurosurgeon, to get a

The MRI indicates that there is disc protrusion (displacement) in disc space C-5/6 and C-6/7. The compression of the spinal cord with association myelomalcia which is likely related to your accident that induced the truama to that area of the spine. The reaction to injury is the myelomalcia which is likely due to inflammation and glial changes due to the former. The spondylosis is the change or slippage of the vertebrae on one another, this may or may not be from the accident. It might be due to aging and a natural process. The endplate spurring is the displacement of part of the vertebrae that is compromising the spinal cord. Without seeing this I cannot comment on how bad the compromising is and this is a very important thing to know, especially concerning surgery. I would see if a good neuroradiologist can view and read these films.
I hope I explained this alittle for you.
Sincerely,
CCF Neuro MD
