I had an MRI because I get headaches a lot on the left side. The report said I have no brain abnormalities, so no worries. But, does anyone know what this means? It was on the report:
"The infundibulum is midline."
"slight increased signal in the left mastoid air cells, probably in left middle ear."
"Changes of left mastoiditis, probably left otitis media."
The infundibulum is normally a midline structure in the brain. Any tumor may lead to a shift from the midline. Since your infundibulum is midline, there is nothing to worry about.
You might be having the headache due to a possible left middle ear infection. Mastoid air cells are cavities in the mastoid bone. An inflammation of the mastoid (mastoiditis) and middle ear infection (otitis media) are the causes of your headaches.
Please consult an ENT specialist and get the condition treated.
