mri

my mri says there is a large high t1 and high t2 mass which becomes dark on STIR within the l1 vertebral body, 2.5 cm. in diameter. this likely represents a hemangioma. at L2 L3 generalized bulge more prominant to the left there are mild changes in the ligamentun flavum and facet joints without definite involvment of the exiting nerve roots.
at l3l4 there is a broad based protrusion this results in mild flattening on the thecal sac. the combination of disc disease and facet hypertrophuc abuts and may cause some slight deformity of the exiting nerve roots bilaterally.
at l4l5 there is a central protrusion. there is a flattening of the thecal sac. there is displacement on the descending nerve roots. there is mild hypertrophic changes of the flavum and facet joints. nevertheless there is a mild degree of spinal stenosis. the combilation likely encroaches upon the exiting l4 nerve roots bilaterally
and last is at l5 s1 the is some central bulging with only minimal indentation on the thecal sac. i don't see significant spinal stenosis. the neural foramina at the level of exiting nerve roots appear grossly patent. please explain what this all means and what are my options for releaving the pain thank you kate97

You should go to yahoo answers. You'd be impressed with what people know there, i just checked not too long ago, and got too many answers. And some of them were actually nurses! you should ask them. You won't regret it, i thought i'd get more answers than yahoo but i found out alot of people are asking for help and no one replies. You'll be glad you did!

:) hope you get better and find someone who's a doctor or a nurse :-) good luck!
