My daughter (30) had a car accident 2 years ago and suffer a mild TBI and symptoms similar to cauda equina syndrome. She still having trouble concentrating on minor tasks and skin/light sensitivity. Also, she is having a lot of pain in the cauda equina region as well as having difficulty with her bowels.  She tried several medications for her such as neurotin, etc to no avail. She can not take opiates very well because they cause bladder retention. Do you have any recommendations for different medications ? We are thinking about taking her to Cleveland Clinic for further evaluation and recuperation.
