ms. and possible lupus?

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to have M.S and Lupus together as a diagnosis. My daughter 19 at the time, had numbness on one complete side of her body, fatigue, and one night had a horrible eye pain. After 5 trips to E.R. we finally had a doctor give daughter an MRI. the (ER doctor) told us she had several lesions on her brain and diagnosed her with MS. My daughter was admitted into hospital. The (hospital doctor) then had a lumbar spine performed and afterwords told us...she either has Lupus or Ms..he didn't know. So, MRI showed lesions , and lumbar spine and possible blood tests showed lupus. Well, neurologist she seen diagnosed her with MS. she began her first year with Avonex then switched over to copaxone.
Her neurologist kept telling her over and over the pains in her joints , and knees had nothing to do with MS. he told her to get a regular doctor. Took us a  little over a year to do so. Now we are working on her joint pain, knee pain. This one doctor was told to do a thyroid test on her but did not do it. the reason i asked for thyroid was because I have hypothyroid and feel bad all the time and her hair breaks easily so does mine.. But I still wonder if it is possible to have both lupus and Ms. so, I am just really asking that particular question because she had tested positive for lupus and Ms at one time, but they were trying to distinguish which one she had...but seems to me, you can have heart problems and kidney problems, so is it possible to have both lupus and MS? Also. we have lupus in our family. and they complain about joints hurting

I would suggest looking online for a dr in ur area that specialize in MS.....that way u will know for sure.
Hashimotos thyroiditis does give some of the symptoms u mentioned....I believe anything is possible and since we r all different...I would also check for other conditions that cause the same symptoms......Lymes......ect....
