Apart from medications behavior therapy and psychotherapy helps in treating patients with multiple personality disorder.
Another mode of therapy used is hypnosis. Hypnosis has been seen to help with problematic behavior and recovering from repressed ideas and memories.
Alternate therapies like yoga, herbal therapy, botanical medicine and art therapy have also been found useful.
Hope this helps!
I'm 17, I was diagnosed with Dissociate Identity Disorder (Multiple Personality Disorder) and I'm on 20mg of Prozac, and I'm always tried my family doctor said that it's normal. However I still switch to different alters I don't know as to which ones though and it scares me for the simple fact that I say things that are very misleading by that I mean (ex. Death threats apparently, sexual comments apparently, and very interesting comments as well apparently). But no one will tell me what the hell came out of my mouth. The minute someone does I switch to that personality that said. I have 20 different one's.
