muscle contractures

my adult autistic son after being treated for more than twenty years on and off with all sort of meds he is off drugs for 2 1/2 years. he is still most of the time immobile, tight arms crossed on chest or behind his head. when finally,  lately, was able to play video games we thought progress at last !!!....and then started the muscle contractures on his back, neck, jaw, started gradually from mild to strong that make him grunt in pain. would calcium and magnesium would help him, how much? and if there is an explanation for this, i would appreciate....thank you!
