muscles wont stop twitching.

for the past month my muscles all over my body, mainly arms, legs, and face have been twitching nonstop and sometimes the muscles in my left leg twitch so much that it becomes painful.  I dont know if it would be the medications that I am on but they are zoloft 100mg, vyvanse 50mg daily.  I told my doctor and he gave me muscle relaxers and they dont seem to help.  I also feel dizzy, and very sensitive to light and sound.  my feet and hands sweat constantly.  please help!  I am tired of twitching.  :(

I take cymbalta and vyvanse. The vyvanse is a stimulnt and can cause the twitching and more racy feelings. I take the Cymbalta at night and the Vyvanse in the morning to spread them out so they don't cause a bad effect on me. I don't necessarily twitch but I do get the shakes especially in my hands and I move my fingers and toes constantly and shake my legs all the time. I think all that is from the stimulant. I now take Valium for anxiety and it has calmed down a lot of my anxiety and racy feelings and just helps me be kind of happy and mellow, unlike Xanax which just knocked me out. Honestly I am looking for a new Dr. because he is not addressing my issues well and I feel I need to be stabilized on better meds.

BFS my friend, welcome to my world.....you are not alone with this condition. Lots of people have it. Its totally benign.....BFS stands for Benign Fasciculation Syndrome and every symptoms you just named off is part of it and then some.

Its a miserable syndrome but far from deadly.

Take care

Robynn :)
