myelomalacia

I not been on here for a long time had a lot going on but now i have at last been told what is going on with me i was told i had cervical  myelopathy  and i knew about that but then also told i have myelomalacia i have done my bet to look this up but cannot find a lot about this what i have  found was it said bleeding from the spinal cord and lots of other nasty things i got a little scared and stopped reading it so i have come here for some true advise and help if any one else has heard of this. Also was told it is hard to find information about this problem as it is rare i am worried and scared because the hospital has told me nothing can be done and all i can do is have long term pain killers. I would love to know if anyone here has this problem and what thay are doing about it as i have only just been told about this and  very worried to what i have seen about this. So i thought if i come here to find out so good and truthfull information if any one can help me i would be most gratfull

Without the ability to examine and obtain a history, I can not tell you what the exact cause of the symptoms is. However I will try to provide you with some useful information.

Myelomalacia just means that your spinal cord has had injury is becoming / has become “scar tissue” in the area of the injury. Do your doctors know what caused the spinal cord injury?
