myelomalacia

Have you ever seen a case where somone has gotton better or their symptoms have improved after being diagnosed with myelomalacia?  I was diagnosed a long time ago but i really have not followed up with it.  I have so much pain throughtout most of my body and numbness in my hands and arms with exscruciating pain.  My doctor really does not do anything to help.  I take alot of excederine and advil but I feel like I want to be pain free without always taking pain pills.  I am very scared and uneducated about the whole thing.  I wish there were more people I could talk to about myelomalacia.

Hello Dear,
It is a good sign that your symptoms have improved and in long term may still decrease. You should go in for  MRI as it has been long that you were diagnosed and the present pathology should be studied.Do not be anxious,if the pain is bearable you have to live with it otherwise surgery is the only option apart from epidural injection.
