myoclonic epilepsy

sir my son aged 20 monts diagnosed myoclonic epilepsy. and sleep disorder. we are giving him medication lamotrogen valprin nitrazepam cyno coblamin pyrodoxin. . in child when he was 05-06 month his seizures was 20-25 a day now it reduced to m9-10 a day . he can recognise his name , laugh and try to get up. but at present he is not holding anything, sit and stand only with supports of bed or in lap. always tries to keep his legs crossed.
wife delivery was scireanchild cried 03-05 sec late after bith. pl. suggest can he be able to walk and can do his daily needsindependently.
we are showing for speech therapy, physiotherapy and accupation therapy. we are very depressed and not much rich to do a great thing for his futurere pl. suggest and help in this regard  god may bless u.

Hi,

Thanks for writing in.
I would suggest you to please consult a pediatric neurologist. His motor development is quite delayed and does not seem to be related to myoclonic epilepsy. It is important to diagnose the cause of delayed motor milestones. He needs to undergo CT scan or MRI of brain as soon as possible. Also please be patient and continue with physical therapy.
