need explanation please

I had an MRI done last week and they found a lesion on my medulla. They now want to do an MRA to look at the vascular issues. I'd like to know more about what they might be looking for, I have to wait 3 weeks for the test and am worried. I have balance problems, visual problems, and terrible headaches. Could you give me a little bit more information, or what your thoughts are about this? I am a veteran, 54 years old, female, and they don't tell me anything. Thanks.
