need help finding a physcial thearpist no insurance no medicaid had to return to work but just working 20hrs(applied for disability) a week to cover car insurance and a place to live not counting the 3 loans i cant even pay for is there no 1 out there that will help someone like me? i had c5 c6 infusion in april 2011 and still hurt very badly cant type on computer long with out pain i dont know what to do i am so depressed the dr. bills coming in and they are out rageous someone please help me

Hi there. You have undergone a cervical fusion surgery and still have symptoms. This could be nerve damage that already occurred due to prolapsed disc prior to surgery that did not improve the neurological deficit despite the surgical decompression. Consult a neurosurgeon for evaluation of the spine and exercises and physiotherapy might help. Treatment of nerve related pain includes medications and nerve blocks including implantable systems.  Physical therapy, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation TENS and psychological therapy, occupational therapy for coping with pain is necessary. Antidepressants or tricyclic antidepressants like amitriptyline and nortriptiline. Neuroleptics like carbamazepine, felbamate, valproic acid, clonazepam and phenytoin alongwith gabapentin are effective. Local anesthetic agents like intravenous application of lidocaine, tocainide or mexiletene, can be prescribed as combination. Spinal cord stimulation introduces low level of electrical current to the dorsal portion of spinal cord and can include a fully implanted system or a system with an external power source.Consult your hospital for help of a neurosurgeon and a physiotherapist or search over internet about the ones in your locality.
