nerve pain and HSV2

Diagnosed one month ago with HSV2. Healing is almost complete except for a constant burning feeling on my stomach. Wearing jeans or anything touching the skin is impossible. Was given a nerve block perscription but makes it impossible to drive, etc. How long am I expected to have this - there isn't much information on line. I had shingles when I was 10 and remember having the same type of pain.
