thanx for your comments i have read what u have said, and taken on board i will speak to my gp again.
I don't know how recently you've had a scan done, but you may wish to have another. You should have a neurologist go over the report and discuss with you options. It's been four years since your wreck, so my guess is things have gotten worse. Usually docs go with moderate treatment to begin with, which apparently is the way they've gone with you, which includes medications, possible physical therapy, various back braces and collars, that sort of thing, and eventually they may decide surgery would help. Or could be at the moment you may simply need better pain control, a new group of physical therapy exercises, just an adjustment to moderate treatment. I, too, was in a car accident, broke my back in three places, disks vaporized on impact, and while I have decent medicines, including Lyrica and mild opiate-derivatives, the discomfort never really goes away. I sometimes think they ought to put me on a morphine drip, at least I'd be a happy broken person. I am terrified of surgery, but am to get a new scan and evaluation in the spring, which could lead to that, I don't know. So, hope my suggestions guide you in getting new relief for your discomforts.
