nerve pain

Hi, I am a 26 year old female.  Last June I started to have these sharp shooting pains running down my whole body from my neck to my feet.  The only place not afffected were my head and face.  The pain hurt but I could still function normally.  I experienced losts of pain in my abdomen as well.  The pain was extreme for a few days then started to subside.  When I had the least pain I noticed tenderness in both sides of my arm (in the middle).  The whole episode lasted 2 weeks then it was gone.  Exactly one month later it was back but not as intense.  The shooting pains was there so was muscle soreness in my upper arms.  I had tingling in my feet and hands as well as my knees.  I also experienced muscle twitching all over my body except for head and face.  All this happened during the days I was having the most extreme pain.  At night i experienced body jerking on right side and sometimes left right before I went to sleep.  Like the last time the pain has subsided as well as the jerking, twitching, and tingling.  Last time I thought it was muscle pain but now I think it was nerve pain because sometimes when I walk I can feel these pintching feeling in my knees and elbow.  Even in bed when I rubb against the sheets or my clothes.  I forgot to mention that during both episodes, my left side kept hurting, near my ribcage.  At night when I sleep on my left side it feel uncomfortable.  I don't know if anyone can help me but could these be signs of ms, a pintched nerve, or something else.
