neuralgia

hi. My girlfriend is 32, she sufers pain in left side of her face. its coming out from the place that she had her tooth removed. its 4 years now that this hapend. The doctor's thought its neuralgia but the other doctor said its not. pain is very strong she cant sleep. Also she has headaches. also very strong. After she got her tooth removed she has some kind of thing that the hole after the tooth was removed was closing very long, few months. We don't now what to do cos she took some medications for neuralgia but they never helped her. Does any one have a clue what it is??
