neuropathy and other symptoms post salmonella

A month and a half ago I got salmonella.  I was extremely sick with flu like symptoms vomiting and diarrhea.  At the same time, my entire body went numb as has been ever since.  I was told by my doctor that my brain was infected from the salmonella and the body numbness should subside, but it never did.  I also have brain fog since then where I feel I cant concentrate and I'm having problems with memory and clarity and poor concentration. I feel as if my brain is detached from my body.  My entire body feels as if its asleep which is preventing me from functioning.  I cant drive because I don't feel as if my body is attached to my brain and feel like my brain is in a complete fog.  I went to a neurologist and had a brain MRI with contrast done along with an EEG, Somatosensory Evoked Potentials(SSEP), and a Visual Evoked Potentials(VER) test.  All came back with normal results.  But yet my body still feels the same way it has for the past month and a half and the numbness and brain fog is not going away at all.  I was retested for Salmonella and it is no longer in my system, but yet I still have these symptoms and nobody seems to know what is causing it.  I also have Hashimotos of the thyroid which I have been taking medication for.  I don't know if maybe I was infected with the salmonella and it triggered the Hashimotos in some way.  But I don't know if the Hashimotos causes body numbness for this amount of time.  I just know that my body hasn't felt the same and I have body numbess and brain fog that has not improved at all in a month and a half along with other symptoms such as restless legs, brain fog, lower back pain, upper back pain, muscle weakness, irritability, anxiety, depression, headaches, inability to sleep, and poor concentration. It seems I have a lot of the symptoms of Fibromyalgia.  I don't know what is wrong or what else to do since every test that has been done is coming back normal and no doctor seems to know what is wrong.
