neurosurgical problem?

I have already had 50+ neurosurgeries. My neurologist recently checked my eyes, and said my pupils were unequal. This differs from how they were previously. Could this signify a neurosurgical problem? Any other possibilities? Any suggestions?

My previous neurosurgeries were for Hydrocephalus, or it would probably be diagnosed as Porencephaly now. The neurologist didn't tell me anything about how my pupils were unequal, except that when he checked their reaction to light, they didn't react the same way. This has never been noticed before. Any clues?

My only guess is that your condition has caused increased presure against your optic nerve, thus causing the unequal pupils and any other eye issues you may be having. If left untreated it could lead to blindness depending on how bad it is. Do you have a shunt placed? Or maybe the medications you are using have stopped working effectively and they need to be switched? I'd go back and talk to your neurologist to ask him what your pupils being unequal could signify given your condition.
