Hello,
My husband for the past three years has been experiencing seizures at night at mid-day. I notice that he can not drive for long period of time, his blood sugar is normalNormal saline flush and he is very healthy. He is a long distance runner and only 23 years old. He will usually have them at night 5-10 times out of the month. He starts to shake and and mumble, as if he can not speak. Sometimes, during the day, he passes out and can hear everything going on around him but feels uncontrollable. I have not taken him to a doctor yet, he fearsFears and phobias of being diagnosed and not going into the military. I am concerned since we have a 2 and half year old daughter, when he drives with her. My concern is he will have an episode when I can not help him... does anyone have any advice, or has experience this? Thanks : )
He definitely has to see a neurologist. They will do an EEG, MRI and other neccessary tests and most probably prescribe an anti-convulsant. Leaving seizures untreated can be dangerous.
