numb bum or star dum?

Alright heres the deal doc,
I'm a healthy 19 year old, no weight problems, don't smoke,but i'm guessing i have some kind of circulation problem because the pins and needles feeling runs through my whole hand.
I just started playing guitar about 6 months ago and whenever i play, after about 30 mins or so my hand starts to get that feeling. i have been playing aprox. 2 hours a day at least during these last 6 months
also just recently it's been happening alot more when i write, after about 30 mins as well
My hand doesn't feel weak or anything it just gets totally overwhelmed with pins and needs and thus i can't continue until the feeling subsides
Is the problem just that i've been playing too much?
Tell me something good...i need to hear it's not carpal tunnel and that i can keep playing!!!!
I also need to know if i'm doing any damage to my hand when it happens OR because it happens
