numb

I am a 42 year old female and over a month ago, i have been feeling as if something is cutting of my circulation on the left side of my body. I have also been feeling numbness and pain in my legs and arms. And now i even feel it on my lower back. Lately, it seems like i can feel all the blood on the left side of my head. My left eye is also always red and can sometimes bug me. I also feel pressure on my ears, but mostly on the left one. I've already had 2 C.T scans but they came back clear. I've had a lot of blood draw and again, they said everything looked normal but that im low on iron. If anyone has any idea of what i could have or where i could go, please let me know it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there. You need to be investigated for multiple sclerosis since you have multiple ear, eye and numbness and tingling symptoms localized to one side of the body. Numbness and tingling are two most common symptoms of multiple sclerosis.  You need to check with a neurologist for a detailed clinical examination and other relevant investigations. Apart from clinical neurological examination MRI shows MS as paler areas of demyelination , two different episodes of demyelination separated by one month in at least two different brain location. Spinal tap is done and CSF electrophoresis reveals oligoclonal bands suggestive of immune activity, which is suggestive but not diagnostic of MS. Demyelinating neurons transmit nerve signals slower than non demyelinated ones and can be detected with EP tests. These are visual evoked  potentials, brain stem auditory evoked response, and somatosensory evoked potential. slower nerve responses in any one of these is not confirmatory of MS but can be used to complement diagnosis along with a neurological examination, medical history and an MRI and a spinal tap. Hope this helps. Take care.
