numbness, little blurred vision, and speech

my son is 17, and in the last six days, he has had two problems with numbness in his arm and face, and tongue, and also a little blurred vision. that was the first time. it lasted about 4 minutes. two days ago it happened again, and all the same symptoms, but this time he could not get the words out he wanted to say.. botht times he had a headache after words.. he was scared, took him to er, and they did a brain scan, and blood work, and everything turned out neg..... your thoughts

im 22 have 2 young kids have never experienced anything like this till i fell pregnant with my daughter.. starts off with numbness in my hands sometimes faces and legs then slowly developes into headaches  real bad ones and followed by blurred vision, headaches from my eyes and sometimes my hearing goes all funny and i can speak exactly what i want to get out.. i though it was all over after i had my son, who is now 19 months... i  have recently been experiencing the exact same things, no im not pregnant...  im lost

Hi there.

I'm sorry to hear that he's experiencing all of these at such a young age.   Stress is a common culprit in this condition which can cause some problems with the nerves.  This can also be some form of migraine with an aura of other symptoms.  Auras are sensations that precede a migraine attack which can include cutaneous sensations, blurring vision, etc.  The negative scans are all reassuring, and I suggest that you have him evaluated by a neurologist.
