numbness and stabbing feeling in my leg

I have been suffering from Fibromyalgia for the past 15 years. I have tried all kinds of paon meds and now I have a morphine pump inplanted in my side giving me 500mcg of morphine,I still have pain and fatigue and the dr. prescribed 150mcg of fentayln patches. Still feel the same. To my suprise about one month ago I started to get stabbing pains down my left thigh and up my left arm, Now the numbness is on the right leg,It is very weak and I constantly have to punch the leg, the dr. thought it was too much klonopin he had mixed in the pump,reduced it ,pain somewhat subsidied, but it came back again and with a vengence.I think it had to do with the two surgeries he did to stablizes the pump that was inserted in my spine, but he doesn't want to say that is the reason.so he says i don't understand. I think he pinched a nerve. These symptoms are worse than the fibro..Bottom line drs. don't know a heck of alot and use you as a guinie pig. to try new therapies. Don't get cut by anyone without getting at least 2 other opinions fron professionals. The answer to them is to operate,. wait first. somnetimes the ooperation is worse than the cure,

I am so sorry you are experiencing these symptoms.  Someone close to me has fibromyalgia and it's a daily battle.  I hope you are able to find relief.  YOu take care!
