numbness in foot

I am 29yr old young woman, never had any medical problems, always been healthy.

About two weeks ago, I cleaned, scrubbed my new apt floor for 5 hours stiing down in a same position. and my right foot started feel numb. I've been experiencing numbness & tingling in my right foot for the last 2 weeks now, specifically on the upper part of my foot and on the sole of my foot.

Should I go see a doctor now? I thought It will go away any time soon. Is there anything else that can be done to try to resolve the numbness?

This is likely to be due to compression of a nerve in your leg against the bone, which is caused by the position you stayed in to clean the floor, this compression affect the signal transmission along the nerve fibers and causes this disturbance in the skin sensation. The numbness and tingling usually subside shortly after the initial episode, but sometimes the symptoms persist if the nerve continues to get compressed intermittently when you maintain certain positions in your daily activities (crossing legs, sqatting, etc). since your symptoms have been present for a couple of weeks I suggest you see your local neurologist to get a good neurological evaluation and make sure this sensory disturbance is in a peripheral nerve territory.
