Hi

An MRI lesion in spinal spine with numbness in the hands and fingers does not necessarily mean multiple sclerosis. There can be many causes of this and the most common would be a compression of a nerve root emanating from that portion of the spinal cord. This can cause numbness in the arm and hands. This may be due to some deformity of the spine, or a cyst or a mass in that region. Please check with your neurologist for the exact cause.

Best..
