numbness in hands and feet
whenever i go to the gym and work out on cardio machines my feet and hands get numb. does anybody know why. I am overweight and a smoker. I am trying to lose weighht and exercise and hopefully quit smoking soon. I am 49 years old. HELP!!!
I have had two operations on lumbar spine and my feet are numb and getting worse. Operations were in 2000 and 2002 and the numbness has gotten worse. I gained about 50 pounds since quitting pain management and it seems to be a lot worse. Did the oxycodone and oxy cotton mask the numbness .
I have blood work done regularly because I have hep c and recently had seizures. I am diagnosed with abnormality on the left side of brain. I have not been able to find the right seizures medicine yet. I have bad side efffects. Now im going to start tegretol and hopefully that will work. But my blood work all shows good. I also get numb when writing, holding the steering wheel and sometimes at night while sleeping. I have had surgery on my c5 c6 back in august and it appears to have been successful. I have to go in for my last xray this week. Any other suggestions.

Have you considered blood pressure fluctuation and anemia as causes of your numbness? Please get a routine blood work done to rule out anemia.
In anemia, the blood supply to the extremities is adequate usually. But in the times of excess needs, like during the cardio exercise, the need for oxygen is not met adequately. This may cause tingling and numbness.
Another factor to consider is the lumbar spine. Do you have any lumbar spine issues?
