occipital neuralgia

I have suffered from constant headache since I was 5 years old. I am 59 now and do have a diagnosis of occipital neuralgia and have been through many injections, meds and biofeedbak treatments. All hav offered little to no relief. I am a nurse and can no longer work because of different meds and pain. I read about midline subcutaneous surgical leads for electrical for electircal stimulation. any one had this done? I have a tens unit but it isn't practical and I have not to much relief. I can't go on like this, I wakeup and go to sleep with a headache and the drugs are messing up everythinbg part of my system.
