ocular disturbance colored lights

Our doctor said that the muscle pain was growing pains and not to worry about it and the other symptoms were from allergies. However the symptoms progressively worsened until the muscle pain would wake him up at night. The ocular disturbance, the bright colored lights became so bad that at times he would have what he called “a white out” in which all  he could see was what he called “static” like on TV. This would even happen during the day light hours if he saw a streak of lightening or a bright flash of light.

We found out that our house was seriously contaminated with mold and that Kansas has almost 1000 times more mold in the air than the desert state that we had moved from.

I immediately removed our son to the western state where we came from. I was also advised to remove gluten and dairy from his diet. Within 2 weeks his symptoms began to subside. The muscle pain and asthma symptoms were gone and the ocular disturbances, (colored lights) were only visible in the dark.

If he accidentally eats gluten the colored lights become brighter and more colors appear, and if he is around mold then the muscle pain comes back.

The problem is that for some reason we can’t seem to get the colored lights to go completely away. He sees them constantly at night, they never go completly away.

He has been seen by an ophthalmologist, a neurologist and an allergist, who could not find anything wrong with him.
