pain and weakness in legs

pain and weakness in legs

I took TRICOR for high cholesterol for 2 months in October, 2008 and experienced severe pain in my left hip where I could hardly walk.  Then I had hip x-rays and MRI, all negative.  Then I had 3 cortisone injections 4 weeks a part in Nov, & Dec, 2009 in my back.  I had some relief in my left hip after this for a few days.  I quit taking my ALENDRONATE 70mg on Feb.21, 2010.  My bone density test is normal.  I still have an occassional shooting pain in my left hip and going down my left leg.  My main pain is the weakness and  pain in thighs and calves in bilateral legs and trouble walking long distances.  I also have pain going up steps.
Any suggestions or help???
Thanks for your time.
Bernice
