pain in neck that goes to the back of the skull

i sometim es experience some weird pain in my neck that goes from my neck  into the back of my head. The pain appears when i suddenly turn my head, and its usually followed by a tingling sensation. The pain can b really harsh forcing me to sit or even cry
do you think that i might be related to a lack of calcium or magnesium, because i lack those two elements. Or may it be something else, please let me know it really scary

HI...I would look back to se if u have ever been in a MVA or fall that might be to blame...these injuries do not always show up right away.....

I would also suggest a MRI if the pain is that intense to see if u might have a pinch or herniated disk causing it.
