Thanks for commenting. I do wear a migth guard because I grind severly. I have seen dentists and oral facial pain specialists and the most I get is "Wear a night guard". ot sure where to go from here. I don't have the classic signs of TMJ disorder such as popping and locking of the jaw.
Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
Your symptoms are quite suggestive of TMJ. Are you in a habit of chewing gum or do you clench your teeth?
If yes then there is a strong possibility that you are suffering from temporomandibular joint disorder. The main symptoms are pain in the jaw and temple region and malocclusion of teeth. Yu can try wearing a tooth guard and see if it helps your symptoms. Meanwhile please schedule an appointment with your dentist and discuss this possibility with him.
