Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question. Have a blessed day!
Hey prechie6,
Welcome to the forum.
You may have had this all your life without knowing.
My guess would be that at birth the fontanelle-what gives flexibility to the babies head so it comes out easier- never closed up properly, probably because of genetic factors that control osteogenesis.
If you have other skeletal or bone issues or you are of a small frame, it would be consistent with this.
Any inflammatory (interior damage) or injury (external damage) in this area would cause an immune response, probably by getting calcium molecules from the blood circulation deposited there. Any pain or headaches cannot be attributed to the calcification in this area -the bump can-, but most likely to a slight compression of a nerve there because of the calcification.
By pressing on it it will feel exactly like that kind of nerve pain.
This is the best way I can explain it.
Hope it helps.
I think it will be O.K. but if the pain worsens please do consult a Medical Doctor.
Take care.
Niko
