The only thing I can think of would be some sort of nerve damage.  I know from experience that the nerves are confusing little things and they don't always behave the way one would expect them to.  I am fighting nerve damage myself due to shingles (onset over a year ago) and I have burning/numbness/tingling in places that don't even seem related to the places I had/have pain or where I had blisters.  I have to applaud you for continuing to work in spite of the things you described.  I know what you are talking about with the constant burning/numbness also.  It is almost worse than some forms of intense pain.  Not many people understand what I mean when I say this.  There are some tests that a neurologist can do to confirm nerve damage and I have researched some of the proposed treatments.  Honestly, most of them scare the **** out of me, but there are some that are less invasive.  Most of the time the first thing a doctor is going to suggest is anti-epileptic medication.  They will tell you to "give it a try" because it "can be" very effective, although they don't know how or why it works with any certainty.  I wouldn't recommend taking any of the anti-epileptic meds. I have tried three different ones and if I knew then what I know now I would never have taken a single pill.  Neruontin and Lyrica are the most popular ones, and to anyone considering taking any of them I would strongly suggest doing some research into the possible side effects while taking the medication and the long term affects while on and off them. There may be people who take these meds and suffer no ill effects, but for myself and countless others, that was not the case and some of the effects are still lingering after discontinuation of the meds.  If you want more info regarding my personal experience and my mom's experience with them and what I have found while researching these medications send me a message and I'll share it all with you.  I wish I could tell you how to fix it or ease the sensations, but if you are indeed experiencing symptoms of nerve damage, and it really sounds like you are, all I can say is that I have been told that your nerves can heal and or regenerate themselves to a certain extent and you may just need time.  For anyone experiencing the burning/numbness/tingling/twitching/pain and just overall weirdness of nerve damage, that answer seems a little inadequate.  I am still searching for something or some way that might offer some relief.  I don't know if I really expect to find anything or if I just need to do something while I'm "waiting" for my body to take care of itself.  Sometimes the only thing I know to do is to just cram as much knowledge as I can into my head about what might or might not be going on and how to fix it.  I know I haven't been much help to you, and I am sorry for that.  Please let me know if you do decide to see a neurologist. And I would love to hear what they have to say if you don't mind sharing it with me.  I truly wish you the best and again, I admire you so much for continuing to do something few people could do without injury, much less with what you have described.

I have no headache or rash. I am a 40 yr/o female. A mother of a 16 yr. I am a retied jockey. Now i outride for a living.( I catch loose racehorses while sitting on my own horse) It started on my right hip. Then moved around to my buttock. Then it moved to my right hand eventually up my arm and around my shoulder. My foot , calf, thigh , chest and right side of my face and head all have a tingling sensation. My right shoulder and elbow hurt. But i believe it is work related. Because when i catch a loose horse 9 out 10 times i catch them with my right hand. The horse is averaging about 30mph. I grab it...hold onto it then pull up my horse. In the process pull up the loose horse. Could this be a pinched nerve? About 6yrs ago I had an injury riding where i pinched a nerve in my neck. In which  it caused paralysis to the right side of my face.  I now have about 95% feeling to my face. Still some twitching and lack of muscle control. (But very little and scattered over long periods of time) I am use to pain and injuries due to my career. But this steady burning / numbness sensation is getting to me. This has been going on for about 5-6 wks. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Or at least ease the sensation? Thank you for the help!!!!!

Is it the whole side of your body or in certain areas? Do you have anything else going on like a rash, headache, muscle aches, fatigue, tingling, burning sensation ect.? It could be the beginning of shingles.
