pain on side of head

by NGarcia562, Jun 07, 2007 12:00AM
when i wear my glasses most of the time I get an extreme pain on the bone on the side of my head behind the lower part of my ear. It stars hurting within minutes after I put my glasses on. The frame of the glasses does not touch that area so I don't know why I get that pain. When I remove the glasses the pain goes away after a few minutes. Why does this happen and what can I do to relieve the pain?

I suspect that the glasses touch or press on an area earlier on the nerve and that you feel the pain farther out.  Is there any pressure, say, right over the ear?  Check for other pressure spots and see if the optometrist can adjust the glasses.  Quix
